Sustainability

The incentive system for a sustainable architecture

Without motivating support, innovative and sustainable solutions are not turned to reality. Only when the prospect is worthwile you're ready to go beyond familiar structure and try out some new things.

Contracting model

In conventional rental housing, the investor have no incentive measure to invest in sustainable energy management.

Through a partnership with a third part contractor wich finance the extra costs for sustainable installations through the sale of the produced heat, the investor spare the maintenance costs. The contractor is the energy producer, thus less primary energy is consumed.

Public Private Partnership Model

Cost explosion at average quality is a common problem in public buildings.

One particular model, in a public private partnership context, include the architect as building promoter. Thus the financial responsibilities become a personnal commitment. As owners, they're personnaly emgaged in finding the optimal solutions for top quality at low cost.

Combined & shared uses

In urban centers with dense development, the combined and share uses are feasible and meaningful. For example, the sharing of underground parkings exits of several residential building, saves investments and operating costs while increasing the usable floor space.

Added value through additional uses

Additional uses options can generate added value and are thus sustainable. For example, roof surfaces can be rented for solar panels installations. For the owner, this results in incomings and a better weather protection against rain, UV rays and heat. The operator dispose of a cost effective solar footprint.

Ownership

In the model "motivation through ownership", the craftman become owner in the condominium he build. A large part of the funding is covered by his job. For investor that means efficient and good quality construction and for the craftman, retirement assetsis realized through his own professional activity.
